Fade to Black
I love dark images, the subtle tones and gradations; the need to really look at the image; the time required contemplating the visual aspects.... all of this allows me to see and notice more in dark images than I ever do in light images.
People tend to look at light images quickly unless there is some aspect of it that requires more attention (some wry witticism or biting criticism that might not at first stand out)...
A dark image always requires a longer look.. you have to see and understand it first before you can dismiss it and if you're interested in it, then you must look deeply to see all the elements of it.
At least, that's the way I see it. Looking at images for years and years, I noticed some time ago that the dark images always called for me to look more deeply, they always meant more to me because I spent more time looking "into" them.
All that said... This is "Fade to Black" .... my darkest images.. the images that have more meaning when you look deeply into them. You may see something that you didn't expect.
