water-ho, not land-ho.
Des called me today at 10:30, way too early. She said something about being my alarm clock now and training me to wake up early; and also something about going downtown to hang with her. It was nice of her to take the train down to my stop and wait for me. But we had to take the train down to Fullerton and wait for Desiree's friend, Williams. While we were downstair at Demon's Dogs, Nicole's Dad dropped by and said hello. We talked a little, mostly about Nicole and how she was doing. I'm surprised he remember me and not Desiree and William who both goes to Whitney Young with Nicole.
Downtown was hot, unbelievably hot and humid and all she wanted to do was go to the beach even though we had no swimming suits; just her and her capris and t-shirt (which I helped picked out: "Lucky Brand Coffee, Get Lucky in the Morning) and me in my pretty red and white dress and black tank.
I stopped by LPHS before heading toward the beach. Desiree and William wanted to stay back and talk and so I had to crossed Oz Park alone. Passed by and saw the football team practicing - poor them and their helmet; it must be twice as hot under it. I wanted to stop and say hi but figure that maybe it was best that I didn't. Natalie and Steven were under the trees though, getting their tan on. haha. But yeah, Natalie had cross-country and I think Steven was the only one getting a tan. His face was completely red. Tiffany also came by too and said hi.
The walk to the beach was so freaking long but the beach was what made it worthwhile. I admit, I can't swim and so Desiree and Williams forced me into doing the doggie paddle which was surprisingly easy. Good times... I guess. hehe.
On the way home, I bumped into Natalie and Steven again. This time with Ben Tupper and a bunch of other people. We all took the train home and I even made myself a new friend. Stacy. She and I rode the red line back up north while Steven, Nat, and Ben took the brown line to Montrose.
